Description
Star Ocean: The Second Story for PSX with Japanese audio.
Note: There might be a possible glitch/bug if you try to cast the Haste spell with Rena causing the game to freeze. If that happens to you just go to Rena's spell list and deactivate the Haste spell so that Rena won't use it again.

26/28/2015, 0:21:00 AM UTC+0XynieThis seems to be an emulator-only PSX image. I burned a copy for my modded console but couldn't get it to run past the opening splash screens, just stuck at black screen after that.
36/28/2015, 0:25:00 AM UTC+0strawhat64No, I played my copy on my PS2. Did you burn the CD properly with the slowest possible speed? That matters a lot.
46/28/2015, 0:26:00 AM UTC+0XynieWhoa.. dude, that was a fast reply. :) I'm going to give it another try then. Thanks!
56/28/2015, 0:30:00 AM UTC+0strawhat64Although, playing it on the ePSXe emulator is another good choice. No annoying CD spinning sounds if you run from the ISO.
66/28/2015, 1:01:00 AM UTC+0XynieNope, no dice. Exact same problem with the second burned disc. Right after the Tri-Ace and Enix splash screens the game fails to run further. First disc burned at 16x and second at 8x. Also this and Grandia PSX Undub (which is known not to run on actual PS hardware) discs are the only ones I've failed to run so far on my modded PS2. So that's why I suspected this to be the same. Oh well.. :)
76/28/2015, 1:23:00 AM UTC+0strawhat64Hmm, well, worst case you can play them on the emulator. Also, for CD the slowest allowed burning speed is x16. I don't know what CD burning software you are using but I use ImgBurn which I really recommend.
86/28/2015, 3:58:00 AM UTC+0XynieYeah I used ImgBurn too, twice with 8x and 16x. But I just found out the culprit.. apparently the discs I used are Verbatims, but not their best ones. The burn quality wasn't consistent, so I decided to break out the good stuff; Japanese-made JVC Taiyo Yuden CD-Rs. Lol enough said, but everything works now. :) So yeah, I can't emphasize enough: always use high quality media for stuff like PS images and backups!
96/28/2015, 4:20:00 AM UTC+0strawhat64Really? Weird... I only use Verbatim for both CD and DVD and I have never had such a problem. But then again, DVD aside, CDs have problems generally. Especially when you burn an image on them.
106/28/2015, 4:34:00 AM UTC+0XynieYeah I know, it's weird but then again.. both my PS2 and burner are really old. :) early 2000s or so. And yes, burning CDs for this kind of things can be finicky sometimes.

127/3/2015, 3:25:00 PM UTC+0strawhat64Actually, I just remembered why I didn't have any problems playing the burnt CD on my PS2 from the beginning. That was because I didn't burn them on Verbatim DC with shiny silver surface but on some printable CD ( I don't remember their brand). I like to have all my burnt games on printable CD/DVD and print on them the game's cover. I feel better this way.
